Today we’re getting right into the final piece that goes into building an offline presence! This one really is like the glue that holds it all together!
The Final Piece
The final presence is your personal growth and spirituality.
Here’s why they go hand in hand IMO.
I believe in God. I know He has a plan for me and my life. I know i’m here on this earth to grow, to expand to learn, to evolve! How do we do that? Through personal growth.
Its very much so been my experience at each turn of my life- that as i maintain my relationship with God, as i stay connected to him as i converse with Him through prayer- he has helped me stay aligned with his will for em and helped me get back in line when i feel like ive fallen off course.
God has a plan for each of us individually. Part of His plan for me was to leave social media all those years ago, then he placed the desire for me to create for me to make a difference to help others and this was how- through my experience living life offline and how its brought me closer to myself and to Him. Its not at all to say that my way, offline is the only good way that’s not true. People are on social media and they’re doing just fine in life. They’re connected to their spirituality and they’re able to progress and grow throughout their life. HOWEVER i do think that everyone would benefit from building their offline presence regardless of if you’re on social media or not,
Personally social media isn’t necessary for the life that i have built and am building. It’s not a piece that fits into my puzzle. And i’m not the only one. It’s actually nota piece that turns out to fit in a lot of peoples puzzles! So I’m here helping those who feel the call to leave- to leap and to discover and build their life into the beauty that i know it can be offline. BY THE WAY I do believe that everyone would benefit from building their offline presence regardless of if you’re on social or not. There’s value and joy and beauty in building an offline presence for everyone.
How does personal growth+ spirituality go together?
Because God has a plan for each of us and each plan is totally unique to each individual. I think we each have a duty to keep ourselves in tune with what He would have us do/who he knows we can be..
Now the personal growth part of this plays hand in hand because in order to become the person we’re capable of being that means we cannot stay the same. We must expand, we must grow we must take new action in our life!
And that’s what personal growth is all about. As we’re striving to fulfil gods will for us, as we’re striving to expand and grow we’re developing personally simultaneously.
It’s beautiful! It’s a wonderful harmony.
And before we get into actual implementation on how you might grow or get some inspiration for this presence in your personal growth and spirituality I want to say something.
Don’t get me wrong
This isn’t to be misinterpreted as we must be constantly outdoing ourselves and we’re never good enough as we are!
I actually believe God loves us as who we are, and where we are no matter what. But I also think that He rejoices when he sees us as his children full of so much potential, recognizing it ourselves and working and leaning into who we can be. In my experience it’s been that I feel closer to Him the more i’m working on growing, changing and improving myself. He’s right there with me, through the growing pains and the feelings of alignment when they land.
How to grow in your presence in your personal growth and spirituality
Here’s how i’ve grown and continue to grow my offline presence in my personal growth and spirituality. Again this isn’t to be mirrored, its just an example, i’m sharing mt experience in hopes it will give you a thought or an idea of how you can do this in your own way for your life.
- Starting with my presence in my personal growth and development. How I do this is by first getting and doing my best to stay self aware which i talked all about it part 1 to this series. I think self awareness is the absolute key the first place to begin being present in your personal growth, you’ve got to know you, know where you’re thriving know where you’re falling short know where you’re wanting to head and where you’re wanting to improve. Because i think personal growth can be applied in every aspect of life, for my own good i pick a specific area that i want to work on for this time being in order to not overwhelm myself. Depending on what it is that i’m working on i’ll simultaneously have a couple areas of focus- or at least in my subconscious know i’m working on these specific things so that i’m always aware when things pop up as the day goes on etc. But Something i do is read. I love to learn through books, i love to learn through podcasts i love to learn through action! Something i’ve learned is that the quicker i take action on things that i’m learning, the quicker i see the improvement and the better i feel all around. It feels good to progress, it feels good to grow. I believe this so strongly that i will boldly say that if you’re feeling stuck feeling down feeling unmotivated or lost even in your life- taking a look at if you’re been working on your personal growth and development or not. If the answer is no then starting to work on that i have no doubt will help get through a stuck, unmotivated lost time. Theres so much clarity through action. This has been a recurring thing in my whole adult life. I have had many points where i have felt stuck and unaligned and the quickest way for me to get realigned and feeling good again is when i work on my growth and i take action either small or massive! But ACTION. One of my favorite books i’ve read is ‘everything is figureoutable” by Marie Forleo. I’m currently reading the big leap by gay hendricks and i’ve always found that i learn and implement a lot through reading books hence why i’m writing one! Finally, i’ve wanted to write book since 2018 and i’m thrilled to be working on it now, it’s so hard and it challenging and its pushing me and helping me grow, it’s also the byproduct of me continually working on my growth and progression in my adult years. Its been life changing for me to be present in this aspect and i know it will be for you too.
- Now as for spirituality- staying close to God is very important for me. Honestly- i’ve prayed everyday for years to be able to stay in line with His will for me, i always pray that he’ll help me gain clarity through my action and that i’ll be able to feel when i’m aligned and i can for sure tell it’s night and day difference. Prayer, combined with action is really how i stay spiritually present. I’ll say a little prayer in my heart before starting something before pretty much anything I do. And this helps me stay connected and stay in tune. There have been times in my life where i havent felt in tune and i’m thankful for those times because i can feel the difference from then and now. I’m more confident in myself and who i am when im close to God. I worry most about his opinion of me rather than any one elses. He knows i’m trying my best, he knows im imperfect, he knows i have the best of intentions, he knows i’m willing to do whatever i have to do to stay in line with his will for me- and so knowing that he knows that(and how i know is because this is how i live my life im again in action all the time toward fulfilling this so i’m confident in my effort and my willingness as i do these things everyday.
I remember when i got called to teach for a period of time in my church- to teach the adult women in my area do my church and i was so intimidated and felt totally unqualified to be teaching things that i was still learning but i went in with the mindset of: “I’m here to fulfill gods will for me, i’m putting forth the effort to prepare to teach these classes, he sees me doing that and i know he’ll be proud even if i’m the worst teacher and i’m nervous and if i say the wrong thing not on purpose, i found my confidence to stand up in front of all these women- by thinking only about what He thought of me. No one elses opinion mattered i chose not to let it matter. So i’ve learned to apply this mindset to all areas of my life and keep Him the top of mind and if he’s pleased with me thats where i find my confidence cause he’s truly the one who knows me, he knows my heart that i cant physically show to people but i know he knows and i find confidence and peace in that.
Finding connection and working to maintain it to whatever your higher power is- is so important is beneficial in so many ways I believe that there’s a difference between
Recap
Okay so I just very sporadically went over:
- Building presence within personal growth and development and what I do to maintain mine. Through a lot of self awareness, a lot of action a lot of consumption of educational podcasts, inspirational podcasts, through books through ACTIon!!
- Spirituality and how funding and working staying consistent to maintain connection to whatever your higher power is- how it’s fundamental to stay present there to grow confidence and stay in alignment with Gods will for you which in my experience creates joy and fulfillment in life.
I wanted to be specific in how being present in these ways is important toward being able to be content off of social media. Because if you can find confidence surety in who you are and what you’re doing with your life through your own personal growth and your spirituality. You won’t need the validation of others online. You won’t feel like you need to flex your life and how far you’ve come because the people who matter most will already know and so will the big man upstairs! No one else matters. You can feel content in your path. In your achievements in what your life is turning out to be without the validation online as you grow in this presence.
Lastly, something pretty cool about this final price to building your offline presence is that you can take each aspect that we’re talked about the last 3 weeks in building our presence- and you can approach each of them from a personal growth standpoint.
This is how I’ve built my life offline very rooted in personal growth and it’s been a wild ride as life is but through staying grounded in development and in spirituality- has been game changer and made all the difference in staying course even when things get tough because I understand it’s part of the process it’s per of life and there’s a lesson through it all.
Alright that wraps up this holding your offline presence series, it’s been a pleasure and a joy to share what I’m learning along my way as I’m building my offline presence and prioritizing what matters. I’m forever growing and working on my presence offline and I will continue to share what I’m leaning along the way and I wanted to extend an Invitation to you today.
Whether you’re leaving social media or not, build your offline presence. All of us could benefit from more time in the details of our life more time intentionally creating and becoming aware of the person we are and want to be. The life we want to live from day to day how we want to treat others and how others know us truly offline who we are off the camera, that’s what matters that’s what will make us feel full at the end of the day when we lay our heads down to rest.
I hope this series was helpful and you’re able to put some new actions in play from listening I’d love to hear what you thought!
